Music Thread 2. Randomer tunes.

Post by incognita » Sat May 03, 2014 3:40 pm

I'm starting a new thread, as the other thread has so many youtube links it takes forever to load. It has been moved to Famous Dishes. Link: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=64867&hilit=music+post
As an adult, the beer aisle at the grocery makes me feel exactly like the cereal aisle made me feel as a kid.

Thank you!

It's true, with so many You Tube direct links the thread became difficult to handle, especially further down on any thread-page.
And esp. for posters with a relatively slow interwebs connection.

Much obliged!

One thing though. There's something wrong about the board's clock.

For it now looks as if you've started Music Thread 2 hóurs before I made my OP in Sound Off.

Weird...

Albo's sticky Music Thread ???

Just a quick note to thank incognita for posting that Novelle Vague vid.

I'd seen it linked before, and have searched for it on youtube, but I didn't know who performed it.

I like it.

James, thanks for Sherrif Fatman. Sometimes I mention Granny Farming, & those who do not know stare in a dumb way.

BTW how do I post a straightforward music vid? Otherwise I will have to start an experimental thread...

Dutch Eurovision Song Contest 2014 entry

Driving in the fast lane
Counting mile marker signs
The empty seat beside me
Keeps you on my mind

Livin’ in the heartache
Was never something I pursued
I can’t keep on chasing
What I can’t be for you

Ooh skies are black and blue
I’m thinking about you
Here in the calm after the storm

Tears on the highway
Water in my eyes
This rain ain’t gonna change us
So what’s the use to cry?

I could say I’m sorry
But I don’t wanna lie
I just wanna know if staying
Is better than goodbye

Ooh skies are black and blue
I’m thinking about you
Here in the calm after the storm

Ooh after all that we’ve been through
There ain’t nothing new
Here in the calm after the storm

Maybe I can find you
Down this broken line
Maybe you can find me
Guess we’ll know in time

Ooh skies are black and blue
I’m thinking about you
Here in the calm after the storm

There ain’t nothing new
Here in the calm after the storm

Oh fucking classic. When they released "There's a guy works down the chip shop swears he's Elvis", they had to explain a chip shop is English for Truck Stop. How difficult is it to translate a piss-take song?

Will stop now, after this. Used to play this at my friend Tom's place between lessons during Sixth form. He had a Sondek & Sugden amp. We were spoiled right until a car hit Tom on Exeter ring-road, put him in a coma for 10 days before he died. Some songs.....

Yes. You click on the youtube button and then paste in the url but only the part of it that is after the = sign. I'll see if I can show you.

--------------------

So click to get this:

Then insert the following in between those: Y6j_0NGWT9Y

It should then look like this:

I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.
