Drones in Production

An insect spy drone is already in production according to various internet sources. This robotic insect can be controlled from a great distance and is equipped with a camera and a built-in microphone.

It has the capability to fly remotely and land on your skin, like a real mosquito, and use it’s super-micron sized needle to take your DNA sample. All you feel is the pain of a mosquito bite (without the burning sensation and the swelling ofcourse).

This device can also inject a micro RFID tracking device, right under your skin, without you feeling nothing more than a small bite.

Always worth reading the sources to see if they support the claims...

Hitachi develops RFID powder
14 Feb 2007
RFID keeps getting smaller. On February 13, Hitachi unveiled a tiny, new "powder" type RFID chip measuring 0.05 x 0.05 mm -- the smallest yet -- which they aim to begin marketing in 2 to 3 years.

Those teeny RFIDs, of course, wouldn't fit through robomosquito's proboscis.

But that article was from 2007. And I think if someone could make something smaller they probably wouldn't be advertising it.

I heard a report on NPR just yesterday that said that the future is insect sized drones. I don't think they'll sample your DNA, though. I bet they'll just explode and kill you instead.

Which is not evidence, or even implication, that RFIDs that could fit through that proboscis exist now.

i'm sure there are other methods for delivery and implantation than thru that proboscis.
